Grand Opening of Whole Foods Market in Oxnard, Ca

How many of you out there shop at Whole Foods Market?

I'm excited to announce, a brand new store opened on June 19th in Oxnard, Ca at 650 Town Center Drive, which is in The Collection at Riverpark shopping center!

This is the second Whole Foods Market in Ventura County, and the Oxnard store boasts over 30,000 square feet of space. This market is huge, and chocked full of amazing features!

Whole Foods is amazing about tailoring it's stores, to reflect the community where it resides. Oxnard is considered an "agricultural hub," so this store features many farmers and artisans that are based in the area.  This store is committed to offering locally sourced products & produce, and they sell items from more than 100 local vendors from Ventura County, and nearby Los Angeles County.

Oxnard is located within close proximity to the Channel Islands. This store's design elements are inspired by the islands, with bright colors reflecting the natural elements of the ocean, sky and nearby hills, as well as patterns inspired by sea vegetation and sea life.

Outdoor tabletops feature surfers walking out to catch a wave.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Whole Foods Market Friend's & Family event, 2 days before the store's grand opening!

 We were invited to sample a variety of items the store has to offer, as well as take a guided tour.

After sampling all of the delicious, sweet & savory morsels, we were invited to explore what Oxnard Whole Foods Market has to offer!

This store has so many wonderful features, including.....

Extensive Produce Section: with seasonal varieties, including locally grown fruits & vegetables.

 Hot & Cold Bar Options: Prepared salads and rotating hot menu items, featuring healthy Plant Strong (no added oils) soups, salads & entrees. Other features will include a full Asian menu with sushi, and a salad bar with many organic soup options from local vendors. 

Prepared Foods: Serving a wide variety of everyday favorites, such as handcrafted pizza, in-house chips, custom made sandwiches, burritos, tacos and meals on the go, including rotisserie chicken.

Juice and Coffee Bar: Fresh squeezed juices and freshly brewed coffee specialties using 100% Arabica coffees, and organically grown fruits and vegetables.

Full In-Store Bakery: Freshly made breads from scratch, muffins, cupcakes, fruit tarts, cookies, including vegan & gluten-free treats. Exclusive items to this store include, Parmesan Leek Croissants, Cranberry Pistachio & Hazelnut Biscotti, as well as, parfaits & shortcakes using fresh, local strawberries.

Bulk and Raw Foods: Selection featuring heirloom beans, sprouted nuts, grains & granola, trail mixes and extended bulk food section.

Specialty: Raw, grass fed and farmstead cheese, as well as charcuterie/deli meats, many of which are made/roasted in house using organic, local and grass fed options.

Whole Body Section: Dedicated to pampering and caring for the body, the Oxnard Whole Body Department is lined with personal care & beauty items.

I love Pacifica products! This store has testers for all the scents!

 Beer: 72 feet of chilled beer with an impressive assortment of local craft beers, domestic favorites & unique imports.

  

Great Value: Whole Foods Markets 365 Everyday Value brand pantry staples with thousands of products priced at the same low prices, everyday.

 Bar Rincon: Bar and casual restaurant with a selection of more than 24 craft beers on tap. There's a daily happy hour, free Wi-Fi & seating for 50.

Other features include, meat department, seafood department, organic & sulfate free wines, floral department, nutritional supplements, herbal remedies, and top of the line baby care items.

One of Whole Foods many missions is Community Giving. This Wednesday, June 26th, Whole Foods Oxnard will be holding a Community Support Day. Five percent of net sales from the Whole Foods Market Oxnard store will go to an organization called House Farm Workers. This organization helps provide safe, decent and affordable housing for farm workers.
