New Weekly Snack Subscription ~ Munchit ~ July 2013

There is a new weekly snack subscription available called Munchit!

After learning about Munchit, I contacted the company to see if they would allow me to review one of their snack boxes. They generously sent me the box in the photo above for free, to share with all of my readers.

Munchit's philosophy is that they want to make snacking smarter simple (say that 10 times fast!)

Each week, they'll send you a snack box (around Wednesday,) so at least on this day, you can have a healthy, per-portioned alternative available to replace the greasy bag of chips you have in your desk drawer at the office. In addition to your per-portioned snack, you'll also receive a tea bag(hot tea or iced tea,) a treat(I got a hard candy, but you may get chocolate in cooler months,) and a small pack a gum.

Each of Munchit's 10 snack options contain 2 portions, approximately 180 calories each. There's a nutrition label on the back of the main snack if you are following the Weight Watchers program.

Getting started is simple! All you need to do is go to munchit.com, and select the snacks that pique your interest.

The cost of Munchit, is $3.58 a week, including shipping. Keep in mind that Munchit currently only delivers to Delaware, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC & West Virginia.

Here are the 10 snack options that Munchit currently has available.

What's Good at the 99 Cent Store this week? 7-25-13

As you can see from the photo above, I really didn't get a lot from the 99 Cent Only Store this week.

I also purchased fresh fruit, in addition to what you see above. I bought a watermelon, a bunch of bananas, 2 pineapples, and a 2 pound bag of peaches. Since the 99 Cent Only Store has fresh fruit of some kind (depending on what's in season) on a regular basis, I didn't include it in my photos. But don't worry, if I find some fabulous produce deal, I'll make sure and pass it on to all if you!

My favorite find of the week is the Dove Intensive Repair Deep Repairing Mask (deep conditioner for your hair.)

Ellie did not make a pick this week, because I was able to get my shopping done while she was in an art class, I signed her up for as a summer activity.  I think I might have both my children shopping with me next week. Pray for me!

Here is what I picked up this week.....

46 fl. oz. V8 V*Fusion Light in Cranberry Blackberry Exp. 9-10-13
59 fl. oz. Pure Leaf Sweet Tea Exp. None that I can see
32 fl. oz. Farmer's Market Mango Lemonade Exp. 4-19-14
9.375 fl. oz. Dial Hand Soap with Moisturizer in Cherry Blossom & Almond
6.7 fl. oz. Dove Intensive Repair Deep Repairing Mask with Fiber Actives & Patented Micro-Serum

Other items of interest....

Limited Edition!

64 Ounces!

Gluten Free!

Bisquick is making Crescent Rolls now! Watch out Pillsbury!

I got these in a Goodies Co. Box a few months back. They were good!

Please come back next week to see what I pick up at the 99 Cent Only Store!

Colgate Total Advanced Pro-Shield Mouthwash ~ #ColgateTotalMW

Swishing mouthwash is definitely one of my least favorite parts of my morning routine.

First of all, I'm not the biggest mint fan. I always choose a "fruity" gum over a "minty" one, when given the option. Unfortunately, most mouthwashes these days are "minty." Why can't mouthwash come in chocolate chip cookie dough flavor? Why! Obviously, mint freshens breathe, and is the best option for a mouthwash flavor. Sigh...

In addition to mouthwashes mintiness, it also burns! Does Not Sound Like Fun! The burning sensation makes the seconds you swish, feel like minutes. No good....

When I was asked by Influenster to review Colgate Total Advanced Pro-Shield Mouthwash, I thought to myself, "why not?" I actually really need a product like this because I suffer from the beginning stages of Gingivitis.

Colgate Total Advanced Pro-Shield is an anti-gingivitis/anti-plaque mouthwash. Due to the fact that it is alcohol free, the burning sensation is greatly reduced, compared to traditional mouthwashes.

It provides 12 hour protection against germs, helps prevent Gingivitis, significantly reduces plaque & freshens breathe, all while killing 99% of germs. The 12 hour protection is even effective after eating or drinking.

I received the flavor Peppermint Blast. Colgate Total Advanced Pro-Shield also comes in Spearmint Surge and Wintermint Rush.

Overall, I liked this mouthwash. The flavor was not offensive, and the burn was tolerable. What I love most about Colgate Total Advanced Pro-shield (besides the benefits it provides,) is that you only have to swish for 30 seconds. I'm almost positive that other brands of mouthwashes I've used in the past, have required a full 60 seconds of swishing. So, the 30 second time limit is definitely a plus! I will repurchase this mouthwash after this bottle runs out. With continued use, I'm hoping that my dentist gives me the good news that my Gingivitis is under control. I've heard really good things about the Colgate "Total" line in general. It's the #1 most recommended brand among dentists.

Click here for a $.75 off a purchase of Colgate Advanced Pro-Shield Mouthwash 8 fl. oz. or larger.

There is also a $2.00 off coupon on coupons.com, for a bottle 32 fl. oz. or larger.

If you would like more information on this product, please visit Colgate's website here, or visit them on Facebook or Twitter.

I was asked by Influenster to review Colgate Total Advanced Pro-Shield Mouthwash. I received a free sample from Colgate, but was not compensated for this post. All opinions expressed herein are my own. Print Friendly and PDF

The Goodies Co. ~ Goodies is Going Green this Month ~ July 2013

If you are new to The Goodies Co., please see my post here.

The Goodies Co. has a new, greener look this month. Their boxes are normally blue! You can see my post here, if you would like to take a look at the good ole' blue box.

The reason for the "greener" look this month, is to remind it's subscribers that Goodies Co. boxes and packing materials are made of 100% recycled materials. Great job Goodies Co.!

In other news, The Goodies Co. has just launched a Kid's Box, with the first shipment due to subscriber's in August! It is also $7 a month! I'll post my first impressions, after I receive my first box!

If you would like your very own Goodies Co. Box, you may "skip the line" by clicking this link, or entering promo code MYSSBUNS at checkout!

As a reminder, The Goodies Co. is $7 per month, including shipping.
I'm really hoping that The Goodies Co. doesn't disappoint me this month, like this company did. Take a look at my post here to find out why.

Okay, let's take a look at what I received in my Goodies Co. box this month!

16.9 fl oz. Glaceau Sparkling Zero Calorie Fruit Water in Black Raspberry ~ Sample Value $1.15

I'm currently on the Weight Watchers program, so I'm excited to see a sparkling zero calorie "vitamin water" in my box. I'll be enjoying this with my dinner this evening.

Contains vitamins B6 & B12, Magnesium, Zinc & Green Tea Extract.

Other flavors include, Strawberry Kiwi, Lemon-Lime, Orange Mango & Watermelon Punch.

The Better Chip in Fresh Corn with Sea Salt ~ Sample Value $.93

These corn chips look delicious! I'm so excited to see healthier brands this month, since we received Pringles & Lay's last month.

Other flavors include, Sweet Onion with White Cheddar, Red Pepper with Salsa Fresca, Jalapeno with Sea Salt, and Spinach & Kale with Sea Salt.

This is a very small sample size, but they still look tasty! They are all natural & 100% whole grain. They contain Sesame Seeds, Quinoa Seeds, Flax Seeds & Amaranth Seeds.

Cosmos Creations in Caramel ~ Sample Value $.69

Other flavors include, Cinnamon Crunch, Salted Caramel & Sea Salt and Butter.

Heavenly morsels of baked corn flavored with a caramel coating. These sound interesting! I can't wait to give them a try!

Gimbal's Cherry Lovers Candies  ~ Sample Value $1.29

These are made with Real Cherry Juice, which sounds great! They are also shaped like cute, little hearts.
Unfortunately, they are full of artificial dyes, including Red #40. My children will not be eating these.

Flavors include, Chocolate Cherry, Cherry Daiquiri, Bing Cherry, Kiwi Cherry, Cherry Cheesecake, Black Cherry, Wild Cherry, Cherry Vanilla & Cherry Cola.

My bag only contained 7 of the nine flavors. Boo!

The retail value of my Goodies Co. box is $ 4.90.

Ugh! I really think that the items we receive should equal at least $7. However, as you can tell from my photos, Goodies Co., does a really nice job with their packaging, providing a very sturdy box. With the fact that they are sending beverages, this box probably cost $7, if not more just to ship. So, I guess I'll give them a little leeway there.

Last month's box was over $9, and May's box was over $19!  I'm keeping my fingers crossed, that the Goodies Co. Kids Box, and next month's Taster's Box, make up for a low value month of July box.
