Do you know what my very favorite dessert subscription service of all time is? Well, it's Orange Glad, of course! Although, they are about to celebrate their one year birthday in July, I suppose they are still considered a new subscription box service, so you may not have heard about them yet!

Each month, Orange Glad sends you 5 delicious sweets. You will receive yummies, such as, cookies, cake, brownies & candy! Sometimes, they even throw in a bonus, non-edible item as well!

The cost of Orange Glad is $21.95 a month, including shipping. If you sign up for a reoccurring 3 month subscription, you'll save $1 per box & if you sign up for a reoccurring 6 month subscription, you'll save $2 per box.

Gift subscriptions are also available, and make the perfect personal or corporate gift! Father's Day is right around the corner, and what dad wouldn't love a gourmet dessert gift box!

What's good at the 99 Cent Only Store this week? 5-9-14

Here are the great deals I found at the 99 Cent Only Store this week!

8 count Horizon Organic Yogurt Tubes in Surfin' Strawberry Exp. 5-27-14

8 count Dannon DanActive Probiotic Drink in Strawberry Banana Exp. 5-28-14

14.5 oz. Quaker Squares Cereal Exp. 9-20-14

8.1 oz. Ritz Toasted Chips in Original  Exp. 5-25-14

16 oz. Synder's of Hanover Pretzel Thins Exp. 5-24-14

12 oz. Diamond Shine Moisturizing Conditioner. I wasn't familiar with this brand, but did a quick search on my phone while in the store. I found this product on Drugstore.com. A 33.8 oz. bottle is on sale for $12, making it $.35 an ounce. The 12 oz. bottle at the 99 Cent Only Store is $.08 cents an ounce. This seemed like a great deal, so I thought I would give it a try.

Other items I saw were bags of Pirate's Booty in Veggie, and packages of Wholly Guacamole.

Please come back next week to see what I find at the 99 Cent Only Store!!

What's Good at the 99 Cent Only Store this Week? 4-28-14

I apologize for leaving you all hanging for so long!! You'll all be happy to know that I haven't stopped shopping at the 99 Cent Only Store. Life just got in the way, but I'm back!

I've been primarily shopping at the store that is closest to me, but due to having a Dr. appointment in another city, I decided to stop by my "other" store on the way back home.  For the most part, even though this store is brand new, it tends to disappointment me. However, I think I might just be going at the wrong time of day. Early birds don't always get the worm! Even though deliveries come early in the morning, the employees don't get around to stocking the shelves until early afternoon.

Here's what I picked up today:

My favorite finds of this trip were the 10 oz. bags of Pirate's Booty in Aged White Cheddar (Does it come in any other flavor?)  On recent trips, I have also found 12 count 1/2 oz. and 6 count 1 oz. single serve bags. I bought a bunch of those of course, but when I went back to my "regular" store this past Friday, they were all gone :-( So, I was so happy to find these 10 oz bags!! This is an even better deal than the lunch size bags. These are "best buy" 5-21-14.

My other favorite find was the 4 count boxes of GoGo Squeez Apple Cherry Applesauce pouches.  These are "best buy" 8-2-14.

Other items I purchased, pictured above are:

10.25 oz. Lean Cuisine Honestly Good Pineapple Black Pepper Beef Exp. 7-2014. There was also a salmon variety, as well as another type of fish.

14.4 oz. Honey Maid Graham Crackers Exp. 5-13-14

10.3 oz. Cap'n Crunch Cinnamon Roll Crunch Exp. 6-23-14

11.1 oz. Velveeta Cheesy Casseroles in Chili Cornbread Exp. 7-27-14. It seems that the 99 Cent Only Store has been regularly carrying these dinner kits, but I had not seen this one before, and had some ground beef sitting in my freezer, so I thought I'd give it a try.

10 oz. Honey Maid Teddy Grahams in Strawberry Banana. Exp. 5-30-14

8 oz. Nabisco Wheat Thins in Cheese Crunch Exp.5-9-14

6 count (.95 oz.) Kraft Cheese and Ritz Cracker Handi-Snacks Exp. 5-3-14

2 count (3.25 oz.) Dole Fruit & Oatmeal in Apples and Brown Sugar Exp. 8-13-14

4 count (5.3 oz. ) Yoplait Greek 100 Calorie Yogurt in Bluberry Exp. 5-8-13. There was also non "light" Strawberry & Blueberry.

6 oz. Weight Watchers Smart Ones "Artisan Creations" Stone Fired Cruse Pizza in Four Cheese. Best buy 11-28-14.

Please come back and see what I pick up at the 99 Cent Only Store later this week!!

Bestowed Box ~ Back to School Edition ~ September 2013

As you may remember, I recently reviewed Bestowed Box last month in August.

Bestowed Box, being the amazingly generous company that they are, allowed me to review their September box as well! I received the above box for free to share & review for my readers.

The theme for this month's box is "Back to School." It contained a variety of great snacks, that you can take on the go, or stow away in your backpack pocket, or lunchbox for a quick snack.

Bestowed Box is $19 per month, including shipping, or $209 per year (which works out to be $17.62 a month, a savings of $16.56!) Each box is curated by celebrity nutritionist & author Heather Bauer. Your assortment of 5-7, healthy & delicious foods, snacks, beverages and/or lifestyle items are sent to your home or office on the 15th of each month.

If you would like your own Bestowed Box, you can get $9 OFF your first box, and only pay $10 by entering promo code HELLOTEN094.

Blue Apron ~ New Weekly Meal Preparation Service

I recently found out about a weekly meal preparation subscription service, called Blue Apron . I contacted them to see if they would like me to review their service. They generously sent me this box for free, in exchange for my honest feedback.

Each week, Blue Apron sends you a box full of per-portioned ingredients, which will create 3 delicious, gourmet meals. The only ingredients you need to have on hand are salt, pepper & olive oil. Blue Apron provides the rest! Although you don't get to choose your individual meal selections, you can choose between the meat, seafood & poultry box, or the vegetarian box.

A colorful, easy to follow recipe card is provided for each meal. The meals can be completed in a approximately 35 minutes, and yield 500 to 700 calories per serving. Depending on which option you choose, each meal serves 2, 4 or 6 people.

The cost of Blue Apron is $9.99 per meal, including shipping. So, for 2 people, 3 meals a week, Blue Apron costs $59.94 per week. 4 people, 3 meals a week is $119.88, and 6 people, 3 meals a week is $179.82. You also have an option of several delivery windows.

I absolutely loved this service! I enjoy cooking, but don't really enjoy meal planning, and shopping. Thinking about preparing dinner gives me anxiety some nights, mostly because I have no idea what I'm going to prepare for my husband and two children. On the nights I knew that I had the Blue Apron meals waiting for me, the stress that I normally have concerning preparing dinner ceased to exist! I felt so much more freedom going about my day, because I knew that dinner was already planned out for me.  Everything is perfectly portioned. The only item that I had extra of, was garlic cloves, since they included a whole head.

The meal portions were very generous! My husband and I were able to stretch 2 of the meals for 2 nights!

All the items come packed with ice packs

Everything is individually labeled

My Roasted Chicken Demi-Glace leaked a bit, but I was able to salvage it.

Jerk-Spiced Chicken with Rice & Beans

This meal made HUGE portions!
Fresh Fettucelle Bolognese with Baby Heirloom Carrots

Served with Pillsbury Garlic Bread Sticks

Seared Trout with Peach and Arugula Salad
